Artist Premier Set Art KIt: Thanks Santa!

EJ has been very good this year so Santa  have rewarded him for that!. He wish for an art kit that he could call his own because she borrowed  stuff from his sister whenever he wanted to draw something.  I am glad that Santa brought him these.  He was delighted to see it!
One of his gazillion Christmas list is to have his own "professional" art kit and his wish came true.  Great job Santa!
He also got different kinds of pencil for sketching.
I arranged  all of it  at his Avengers Vault that he got for his birthday.
He told us "I feel like an artist now that I have my own set!"
Here is the very first   sketch he did.  He wasn't  satisfied of this but I thought he did a great job.  I am  my children's number one fun so I am always biased lol.
I love  gifts like this because it really spark the children's artistic creativity.

Putting Back Creativity to Work

I miss my kids creativity  when they  are so busy playing games on their iPod.  I took away their iPods for  now  because I want them to go back to  doing other things that  ignites their creativity.  Those games can be very addictive  so it is best to limit their time for it.
As soon as I put their iPods away,  they  get to do things that they neglect to do when their faces are buried on the screen.  Although I like the  silence when they are playing  in their gadgets but it is taking away  their creativity.  So putting away their gadgets is a great option to  get their creativity back.

The Juggler

There are so many songs that my kids play at home that I haven't recorded yet.  I have to do that this month before it slips my mind again.  It is nice to   view  their videos  a year or two later and see their progess.  The video below is  called "The Juggler" as performed by our little man.  I wish I can  use one of these musicians I friend coupon code so I can buy them the musical instrument that they want  for Christmas.  I can't afford to buy each  of the instruments they want  right now.

Random Sketches: A Girl and a Man

These are some random sketches that Rylie did to ease her boredom.  She isn't happy of the result but I think it is.  Well, what can I say I am a big fan!  I don't really know how to draw so anything that my kids  draw, I love.  Imperfection is what  it makes it perfect for me!
She wants to learn how to draw   people and she gets frustrated that she can't draw the way she wants a picture to look like.  I told her to just keep practicing  so she will improve her skill.
My son is  getting into arts these days too.  I am glad that they do because that is something that I never learned how to do as a kid.

Artsy Kind of Day

My kids were a bit grumpy today so I told them to  use their energy into something  creative.  They got quiet  for a while and both of them got busy doodling some characters.  My daughter  drew these  chibi disney characters.
Ut was raining today and  cold so we couldn't go out and dpo stuff.  I am glad I told them to get creative because it is hard when they are not getting along.  My daughter is  being  so  emotional these days.  She is super sensitive and I feel bad  for my son when she is  getting mean to him.

My son also drew  these two characters.  He keep surprising us with his drawings.  I think he is slowly realizing that he too, has talent like his sister.
Both of them watches tutorial videos on youtube on how to draw stuff.  I am so glad that there is youtube.  It is so useful for a artsy kind of day like this.

Instruments for Kids: How to Pick the Right One

When you have children you want them to learn valuable things to entertain themselves instead of simply sitting in front of the TV. Activities also help them to make friends and become better in their studies.

However, figuring out what type of instrument your child should play can be a little difficult. That’s especially true if your child isn’t begging you for that drum set or electric guitar in the store window.

Use this guide to help you pick the right instrument for your child. It will benefit them in the long run even if they aren’t in love with playing music right away.

Talk to Your Kids

Before you buy an instrument for your child you might want to sit down and talk to them. Ask them what type of music they might like to play and if they have any favorite instruments. You might be surprised to find that your child has been thinking about playing the guitar, bass guitar or the drums.

Whenever possible you want to pick an instrument your child is interested in. They’ll be much more likely to practice and have a good time doing it if you pick an instrument they like.

Consider Your Home

Getting your child to practice may not be easy, but if they’re going to do it they’re going to do it at home. That means you need to have space for them to practice and it can’t be too loud for your neighbors.

If you live in an apartment, you might want to skip the drum set.

Think About Buying Used

You’ll find lots of new bass guitars for sale as well as other instruments in music stores and online, but sometimes the best thing you can do for your pocketbook is to buy a used instrument for your child. After all, you don’t know if they’re going to want to continue playing a in a year or two, and you don’t want to waste a lot of money on a brand new instrument they won’t enjoy.

Just make sure you buy a high-quality used instrument. If you’re not sure what makes a good instrument, buying new may be your best bet. Even kids have a difficult time learning to play music with an instrument that is sub-par, and it will really decrease their enjoyment of learning and playing.

Shopkins - My Son's Newly Found Favorite Subject to Draw

For a while there, my son doesn't want to try anything because he was afraid that he won't be as good as his sister is.  We keep telling him that he should  try things and not be afraid because he won't know if he will be good at one thing or not.  I am so  glad that we never gave up on encouraging him to  do things.  Now he is doing good in playing piano and  also trying his artistic skills.
He recently  gt interested in drawing the Shopkin characters which I find really cute.
I think that he has  a talent  too  in doodling stuff.  He just don't believe in himself good enough.
I mean for things like these, I am very happy that  both of my kids aren't like me who doesn't have any skill at all in arts lol.  Glad they got their Dad's genes.
He drew a bunch of these and said that he would give it to his classmates.
Hubby and I  told him to keep exploring his talent.  He also wants to  try  martial arts which my husband and I are considering.
He said that he wants to become a surgeon when he grew up.  He also dream of becoming an performer.  It's awesome to hear your children  tell you  their dreams.
These are the best ones that he drew that I really like, I think he did a great job!
I hope that we could continue to guide  our kids to reach their  dreams.
For now, I am happy that he is  excelling in academics and also trying to come out of his shell a bit more.
